Guatemalan artist born in 1951, characterized by his dreamlike style that takes us sky gazing through the most peaceful Guatemalan landscapes. García started his training in the 90s. He has participated in many individual and collective exhibitions, including more than 400 national collective exhibitions and others in countries like Mexico, Colombia, the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, China, and Italy.

With the idea of creating landscapes that were both minimalistic and different, García started working with the concept of a “moving landscape.” Later, through discipline, research, visiting exhibitions, workshops, and long hours, it evolved into a landscape with a “still-like movement.”

Currently, this stillness defines his soothing captures of the country’s surroundings, using both minimalism and exaggeration to give expression and rhythm to the objects in his paintings. García seeks to deliver a seamless landscape that remains true to its essence, making his work the perfect picture of silence.
