Born in Guatemala in 1974, Salazar has a background in graphic design and advertising. She creates work submerged in a combination of memories, dreams, and narratives that move from her subconscious to her art. Throughout her life, she has presented her work in countries like Guatemala, Italy, the United States, Austria, South Korea, and El Salvador.

She currently lives in Guatemala City, creating and teaching her trade while continuing the dialogue between her consciousness and her mind. These dialogues later translate to her concepts and techniques, making way for her whimsical artwork.
