Lucía Morán Giracca
Born in Guatemala in 1978, Moran started painting from a young age. Later, she studied archaeology in college and dedicated her life to investigating the Mayan world. In 2000, she won a local painting competition, and from then on, she participated in many individual and collective exhibitions in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Spain, London, Vienna, and Mexico, establishing herself among the new generation of Guatemalan artists.
In 2003, she moved to Barcelona to study painting at the Massana Art and Design School and returned to Guatemala in 2005 to continue her art career and exhibitions. Currently, she lives in Guatemala. There, she focuses on her artwork, which is vivid, organic, and seems to flow directly from the earth.
